insane on a couple of levels, but cool in the grand scheme of things.

Crazy to imagine back in the day when 300hp was a lot, and then at one point, 450hp was top dog.

The 1500 hp 7.0 appears to be running a cast iron block but the 1100 hp version is all aluminum and was briefly available before selling out in about 2 days. I believe the hurricane inline 6's are all aluminum. Remarkable stuff.

There's a shop in my building (who, aside, is also trying to get me to work there...) that is installing in-house designed Hellcat engines with blowers, 1200-1600HP setups. Big market is off-road racing Jeeps (Baja, rock bouncers, playa racers, etc).

I know where I can get a Miata with a blown engine cheap.
