Road to glory : Audi vs Lancia - Oh no

Recent release about the 1983 Rally season,where Lancia managed to beat Audi's quattro with a RWD car, IMO the prettiest Rally car ever built, the Lancia 037... If you like rally you know about this..

I had to watch the movie because just seeing a 037 and a quattro on screen is not a waste of my time... The movie, however, is abysmal... I don't even know how to describe why it's so bad, the writing, the way the story is told, it's cringe worthy....just take my word for it..

Instead, rewatch the most excellent Clarkson documentary about the same story, much much more enjoyable :

I would concede on the stratos BUT I am a martini racing colors whore, an 037 in martini livery is just unbeatable for me. It’s close. Add an A110 and I’m very confused :-)

One of many good docu's. Henri Toivonen, to me, was a Senna-like driver. Not driving at the edge, but slightly over the edge.

The racing footage in this one is just crazy, it amazes me that something that looked so fragile as the 037, could be driven so hard. What a bad ass car!!!
