That probably needs to be posted in the Death Fairy thread, right?

So I’m wondering if the person filming was his best friend or his girlfriend.

Seems like it would be pretty traumatic filming such a thing.

Comments posted with the video says he survived; I'll guess the snow was pretty deep.

Got to admit, the comments are funny.
Plus, he was heading for a fall as his hands were shaking.

The young jumper was filmed by his friend in Konakova, Russia

His fear is evident as he looks over the edge of the electricity pylon and prepares to jump, hands shaking

He hits the ground with a muffled thud and a puff of snow as his friend can only look down from above

Miraculously, the man survived the fall after the powdery snow cushions fall

He fractured vertebrae, pelvis and legs and walked again after 3 months

At 120-metres high, the pylon was taller than St Paul's Cathedral and Big Ben's tower

The guy filming, probably had his own parachute. Clearly the fastest way down would be to jump after him.

If you just watched your buddy (or anyone) go through that, what would be the odds of someone deciding to jump themselves. I feel like after watching that even if my first thought was "follow him" my brain would probably go "nope. NFW, not today!"

Many years ago I remember watching an episode of either "Real People" or "That's Incredible". A guy jumped out of a plane and his parachute didn't open. He landed in someone's yard. The ground was so soft and spongy that there was a body shaped indentation that was something like a foot deep in the yard, and the guy survived with nearly no injuries.
