The dog's memorial site
The latest thread of someone losing their beloved pup inspired me to start this thread so we could brag about how great our late pups were when we had them.
Here's the best dog who ever lived, Teddy. He was very sweet and loved life. His favorite activity was chasing pine cones. He didn't have a mean bone in his body, except for that one that hated racoons. ![]()

Mazy may have been the sweetest mastiff to grace our planet. Osteosarcoma took her a week before her 6th birthday. Miss her dearly.

I originally gave Bodhi to my ex as a gift because she was so taken with the pup I had gotten (Zeke). Turns out her older dog didn't like Bodhi, but she liked Zeke, so we traded. Her dog had a scratched cornea, so I had both for a while, and when she moved, she left Zeke with me. Bodhi was especially affectionate and would lay on my chest and lick my face for several years. When he wanted something, he would moan. For the first few years, he would sleep between my arm and my body, then later alongside me. He was always healthy, but went progressively deaf and blind, but it wasn't really a problem. Towards the end he slept a lot, but he lasted past 18 years old. I feel like I got a full stretch out of him and had no regrets. He passed about a year ago.

These are the last 3 I lost. Hooch and Kona were quite a pair. Great together and with the kids and cats. Kona was the larger of the 2 and was rescued when he was about 4. He passed at 12, Hooch we had from a pup. Amazingly, he lived to 16 1/2. These are the dogs my kids grew up with.
Suzie was my wife's dog prior to us getting together. She made it to over 18. This was her last walk. At the end I carried her in a little pack as she tired easily. She was an onery little thing at times, but that only added to her charm. ![]()

Here's our cocker Tiffy, a great, very smart and loyal girl. She passed back in 2002, never surpassed for intelligence (she knew all her toys by name). She made it to 13 but pancreatic cancer got her. Damn that was a sad day. |
