Really good ideas
These fall into the "why didn't I think of that?" category.

That's brilliant.

Genius. now you can roll it up like a tube of toothpaste and get all of the nasty smelling crap out.
for another genius idea.... <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/15CuGvHxCTE?si=_RhT1DQQ0vT8pMBv" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Package it however you want.
I'll still end up with it dripping all over me |
It is a great idea and the flex bottle works great, but Valvoline only packages the $21 full synthetic 75W-90 in it. If you have an older car and want to use the $14 pure dino stuff you are stuck with the old bottle. I put synthetic in my VW, but was warned against it in my 356. I saved a flex bottle from the synthetic and transferred the dino oil into it in order to fill my '56 coupe.

If you've ever thought "I wish my antifreeze/gallon of oil/etc... bottle had a long nozzle on it" the next time that you're at a gas station and you see something like this
https://img.overdriveonline.com/file...ax&q=70&w=1200 Snag the nozzle off of one of those bottles. Take it home, rinse it out, and let it dry thoroughly. Then you'll have a nozzle for many/most of your automotive bottle needs. |
That's a great idea, Steve. I'll watch for that.
It occurs to me the gear oil bag/bottle idea would not allow for easy measuring like the ordinary rigid bottle. But this man has a solution: Quote:

Many automotive liquid bottles like Gas Treatment additives are shaped with a long long neck to add fluids to your gas tank. Cut the bottom off one of these and it makes a great funnel to reach spots.
