OK, I've watched her video now. I agree, the "deep squat" is something that we should all be able to do, but I suspect it's pretty rare in the US for folks over 30. This one may not be as motivational, but is also about training/improving your balance. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/wq0Oakc-nz4?si=ufN2v316ckQXg0ZW" title="YouTube video player" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" allowfullscreen></iframe> Quote:

Another “test” I have heard about and depending on my knee, I can do, is to sit on the floor and get up without using your hands.
You can start by trying in a chair and working down to lower height objects. I found that the difference between getting up while sitting on a book and from flat on the floor to be huge. |

^^^ I just now tried that....it was easier to get up with no hands than to get down with no hands. :)

I have found this 1 step stool to be safer & easier to use than my other ones. I have plenty of others...2 step, 3 step, etc. But this one is the one I use the most. I like it because I'm not very high off the floor. And it's very easy to step off in any direction, if desired. https://images.thdstatic.com/product...-1s-77_600.jpg |
