Is this Feb 8 or May 8??

A string of abnormal warm days here in W. Michigan. Our average daily highs for this time of year are below freezing.

I'll take it.:)

65° here in Indianland. :D:D

^^^
Should add up to a good year for heating and campfire wood.:)

I did hear that there is some snow predicted for next week.

While cleaning up the deck today....I emptied the turtle pond and went to mop the final bits up and discovered a crack in the vinyl liner.

The liner is about five years old, so I'm not surprised. So, I ordered a new 15'X20' liner from Amazon.

79º inside? Are you having a party for the turtles? Woke them up early just to screw with them?

I hope your Lacrosse thermometer is under a vent or over a vent or had just come out of the oven.

^^^ Lol...no, the base unit you see is setting by the window where the sun directly hits it. The remote unit is under the deck where the sun can't hit it. I'm not concerned about the inside temp...it's always in the low 70's.
Turtles are in the basement where it's low 60's.

Large line of t-storms came thru early last night. Lost power until an hour ago.

And the temp is 20 degrees cooler now.:)

We're under a winter storm warning right now. Up to 1 foot anticipated. Given the forecasters recent accuracy we'll probably get 3 inches.

Sooner or later 02-12-2024 10:19 AM

I guess February. Had an inch of heavy, wet snow yesterday. 20 miles north had six inches.

May on Wed at 66 degrees.

Yeah, I saw that on the news this am...they even named it Storm Lorraine...:)
It passed by us on the east..so we were lucky this time.

Every day is one day closer to spring. This has been an easy winter here....so far.

Flatbutt1 02-13-2024 03:52 AM

6 inches so far.

wdfifteen 02-13-2024 05:20 AM

The "January thaw" came a little late this year. I'll take it. I got my apple trees and raspberry canes pruned back without freezing my ass off for once.

Flatbutt1 02-13-2024 08:27 AM

It's over. Got close to 1 foot but of course not a snowmaggedon.

stevej37 02-13-2024 03:39 PM

^^^
Should be gone fairly fast...if your forecast is similar to ours.
Half-way thru Feb. already...time flies faster every year. :)

Mid 50s here today. Worked outside this afternoon. Cool weekend coming, then warm again next week. I like it.

Can feel the cold when you can see the snow blowing like that.:)

Going to be 60° here today. Not bad for February.

stevej37 02-14-2024 06:30 PM

There's a winter warning out for 5-7 inches of snow for tomorrow here.

It's late enough in the winter that I don't even listen to it. It won't stick around...the sun has enough angle to melt it quickly.
