A great way to start the season . Fox has announced the broadcast team . It will be Buxton/Hinchcliffe/Bell . Hinch and Bell have always been good , if Buxton can refrain from being a screaming idiot this should be a good lineup .

I'm not completely up on driver/team changes yet, but read yesterday that Grosjean is a reserve driver for the new Prema team

I guess maybe he will be focusing on IMSA then??

Grosjean has been such a pita to work with that its no wonder he's now a reserve driver.

Prema are a well respected and multiple championship winning team based it Italy

Team has nurtured a lot of talented drivers over the years, including 5x current F1 drivers

^^ Yup, I'm familiar with Prema and hope they do well. My surprise is that Grosjean is simply a reserve driver now.

I would love to hear both sides of the story.

Its bizarre to me that he would leave so soon. I wonder how thorough the interview was. Wouldn’t both sides clearly outline their expectations and requirements for such a pivotal position? Someone messed up. Prema’s learning curve just got a lot steeper.

I really liked some of the new liveries. The Prema livery (even though no sponsor yet) looked really good. Kirkwood's new Chili's livery looks great. I like Rossi's Java House car. Power's new red Verizon car and Armstrong's Sirius XM car. Several others too.

Another day, another Dixon wreck! Not sure if he's just not feeling it or if he's pushing too hard? He blew Turn 7 twice, next time around he was on the hook

Arrow McLaren have promoted Tony Kanaan to team principle . I always liked TK I wish him well in his new role .

That happened after last season ended. His Dinner w Racers episode was recorded that day, the two episodes are really worth a listen.

I was just reading an article that implies Honda has pretty much decided they are leaving Indycar after their contract expires in 2026 . They are rumored to be heading to Nascar .

If that is true Roger Penske and other power brokers better get in gear to find at least one other engine supplier . This has the potential to shut Indycar down as there is no way Chevy can supply the entire field .

As I think about this , is there any chance a new engine supplier can get up and running by 2026 ? Or would they have to be up and running by 2027 ? Anyone have any info on the situation ?

Well, there's a new chassis and engine formula coming in 2027/28. I'm going to call Roger and suggest he develop the new chassis to accept IMSA GTP engines. There would be no shortage of manufacturers! 6-7 manufacturers at the Indy 500??
