I head into Brooklyn 2 or 3 times a month, more often in the warmer weather. A lot of fun things to do and I've met a lot of great people.

Great Sunday morning watch. I have watched hours of Samantha Brown before I gave up on TV.

It on the waterfront, Carroll Gardens/Red Hook area... I worked in the area , we built maintenance platforms for the Manhattan Bridge on a barge in Red hook, then had tugs tow the barges to the bridge, where we hoisted the platforms to the underside of the bridge... Interesting project and times... We ate at Ferdinandos many times.. ![]() ![]() Panelle, its chick pea fritters, ricotta and parm on house made rolls, just so good.. ![]()

There is, or was, a huge and excellent flea market in Brooklyn.
And it's easy to get to by train. |

It is so nice to see and not just to bash our large cities like SF or LA (we all have issues, right). We have the same thing here on the west coast. Oh man, the food, it is to die for with the variety from just about every corner of the world. I really want to try that Pakistani finger food. I have seen them before but the look on S Brown's face was priceless. Must go out and find some next week
BTY, I know you Italian food compare to our Italian food on the west coast is completely different. I know the Italian food in NY is the best outside of Italy itself. |

I doubt that I'll ever be there, but I enjoyed the video. Nice to see a positive video about a city that's not in Europe.
