Kate Middleton getting chemotherapy
She had major abdominal surgery last January, now there were traces of cancer. I wish her the best in getting well. If she's assuring her children she'll be okay, I'll take that as an indication she will be. King Charles is dealing with it as well.

Royals are people too. I don't really keep track of celebrities, royal or otherwise, but what little I've seen/heard about that one, she seems to be a class act.
I wish her well. I'm sure you couldn't possibly get better treatment than she's receiving. |
+1 Steve.

+2....
But I just can't stop laughing .... it was just on the local news .... and captioned: Princess of Whales :) Best to her.... |
|
The king has been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and given a life expectancy of 2 years . Read that today . Rich or poor cancer strikes whoever it wants . I wish them well .

I like her. She seems down to earth and reminds me of my SIL who looks like her also.
|
Cancer sucks. Best wishes for a young Mom.

Wow! Are they getting their water imported from Detroit/Flint or maybe Camp Pendleton? |
Awful news... Sometimes in life the statistics come out skewed.
I'm sure they'll all get the best of care and I wish them well. |
Kate is a class act. However, marrying into that family does not bode well for the women.
|
I hope she and her family come out of this OK.
I do think the news coverage of this was out of control, especially after she asked for private time to heal and take care of her family. The first 20 minutes of CNN's 4:00 PM news was about this. I kept switching to YouTube and coming back. After 20 minutes there was something about a fire, then back to talking about the video of Kate asking to be left alone. |

Fortunately I record all the the programs and I can fast forward through coverage of royals, celebrities or sports figures. And I can scroll past the news stories in my local newspaper that I read on my computer. The news media is in a sorry state of celebrity worship. Not me. |
Maybe Kate is so likable because of her background. "the British press often referred to Kate as a “commoner” marrying into royalty...
|
I'm no royalist but I feel for this branch of the family. William has had enough tragedy with the loss of his mother. Losing his wife (pray it doesn't come to that) could destroy him and then another generation of kids would grow up without a mother.
Much like Diana "Maybe Kate is so likable because of her background. "the British press often referred to Kate as a “commoner” marrying into royalty..." |
She's the future (maybe pretty soon) Queen of England, classy, and beautiful. She and her children are the highlight of that family. People care about it and them.
|
This is a problem for the royal family because Charles will pass before too long and William will become King, if Kate passes away then there will not be a Queen to take on those royal duties and it will be tricky getting the public to accept a second wife for William as Queen, for many years if ever.
I know that’s a cold hearted thing to say about someone who seems to be a very lovely person. I wish her the best. The Royal Family has roles and duties in the UK, that are important in a social context, and Kate is one of the most active of them. With Prince Harry and Megan Markle out of the picture, the Queen gone, Charles old and ill, William and Kate are most of the Royal Family’s remaining “manpower” so to speak. Losing Kate would be a serious blow. |
Let's just believe that she's not going to die soon, OK? I won't say the King won't greatly suffer, but a king he will be. I addition, I think all of this might help to bring England's royals back into a more popular position. I mean there were people that were born and died knowing only one monarch, QEII. There're likely people that were born and died that only knew one prince.
Now let's not go PARF because I mentioned status. |

There is no such thing as preventative chemo. She had a major surgery with many days recovery. That very likely was what is called debulking - generous cutting to remove a tumor and nearby tissue including lymph nodes. And after healing from the surgery, chemo is next. This is standard program and usually not the start of a survival story. :(
Let’s hope I am wrong, but what they are saying makes no sense. You don’t have major abdominal surgery with weeks of recovery for a cyst or a polyp and then find some minor cancer later that you electively treat with chemo. Something major was already underway. Hoping the best for her and her family - not a royal fan but this is devastating news for any young family. |
