Saw these on the interweb and figured they'd be handy to have after 20 years of just using my bucket to move things.

For less than $80 figured they'd be cheap crap made of recycled T-posts and car bumpers.

they showed up with 2-3 day shipping, and they're heavy!

I bought a set last fall.... Worked great for cleaning up yard after cutting down a bunch of trees and branches. One can really load a large pile of branches on the front of the tractor vs just loading them on the bucket of my JD compact tractor.

Only bad part compared to removing the bucket and installing quick change JD forks is that the forks are sticking out further from the front of the tractor and the lifting cylinders. Cant pick up too big of a load way out there or back wheels come up off the ground.

When I first saw these online, I thought about building them myself but at that cheap price it was a no brainer to just order them.

Looks like something I need. Each year I do quite a bit of cutting and trimming, which I need to either move into a pilre to burn or take it across the road to my neighbor when he burns. These would really increase the amount I can move with the loader.

Vevor makes a lot of 'affordable' useful stuff...not just cheap crap.

Last year I purchased aluminum loading ramps for my car trailer from Vevor . Nice and lightweight , excellent welds and as strong as the back breaking steel ramps that came with the trailer .

I have them and a like bar that has a tow hitch ball attached. Attaches to the FEL just like the image.

Moving trailers with a front end loader, looking at trailer, is amazingly simple and efficient.

If the "forks" were green they would have cost a LOT more .... and still worth every cent :)!

My uncle has 'em for his JD .... without a doubt the most used and useful attachment!

100 % true . Backing up a trailer with a short wheelbase tractor is literally a pain in the neck . But moving forward a piece of cake .

this is exactly what I need for a million reasons.

Ordered a set immediately, looks like they sold out of the 1500lb units, but for a few bucks more, I got the 2k ones.

Those things are dangerous expressly on a compact tractor.
You put any heavy load on it and the rear wheels come off the ground.
It puts your load to far forward on your bucket.
You want to have the load as close to the back as possible.
I bought the Titan quick change fork lift attachment years ago.
Only takes 2 minutes to install, much safer and works better.
The first time you pick up a heavy pallet on your extended forks you'll understand.

Last week was a huge house heat pump to get off the truck.

400 pound 80 gallon compressor just showed up yesterday.


Scored a screaming deal on Craigslist and drove 200 miles round trip to get it.

I just saw this and Rusty's pic....

On my uncle's JD, the bucket comes off and the forks replace it .... quick change and easy. Even if the weight issue wasn't an issue, with our property and where/how we use the forks, attaching forks to the bucket would not work nearly as well.

Yep. I have a weight bar on the 3 point hitch that I use if I'm moving something heavy. I have a trailer ball bracket like Paul described too, and I need the weights on the back when using it sometimes. Don't lift anything heavy up very high unless I am on level, stable ground. You need to be careful with tools!

The pallet forks are GREAT for lifting engines up to the engine stand.

They're dangerous even on a bigger tractor, but if you respect their limitations they're very handy. Next best thing to a grapple for moving brush.
I cut 10 assorted gums and maples this weekend clearing an area with widely spaced trees (po thought he'd save r/e taxes, was mistaken) for horse use. The amt of branches to push into a brushpile was amazing. Could use the forks for sure.
The main work is being done by a guy with a 125 hp track skidsteer with a grapple. That thing is amazing. Anything up to 12 in caliper he just pushes down, grabs and uproots.

That's where you have to be especially careful. Loads that are uneven side to side and unstable loads that can shift are very dangerous. Ask me how I know. :eek:

I never had nary a complaint back when my 4 Carvers were pushing over 4000 watts .... I'm sure you have more than that tho :D.
