^^Yep, most on ramps have a 2+ person lane. There are still some 2-lane ramps that don't though. I usually roll up on those slowly if one lane is clear and wait for the green while the car sitting at the red gets the same light, not staggered. I just motor on through.
There are many that are really not visible from the freeway. I generally roll those on the red. Of course if I'm sitting in a left turn lane with a red light and there's no one else at the intersection, you think I'm going to sit there like an idiot? Because of the hood on the light I'm the only one that can see it anyway. I'm gone. |

This month in Michigan, the State Police has declared a crack-down on the hands free law.
This is the third day and I've never seen so many cruisers backed into hiding spots watching traffic for cell phone use. They are out in full force. The law makes holding or manually using a cell phone or other mobile electronic device while operating a vehicle a primary offense—which means an officer can stop and ticket drivers for this violation. $100 fine and/or 16 hours of community service. $250 fine and/or 24 hours of community service.

Oh man. I forgot how f’d up California’s traffic management system is. Three years away after a lifetime living there and I’ve forgotten how messed up it all is there. |

I have found that people in my little town do not know how to use a roundabout. Even when no vehicles are in the roundabout, I see people coming to a complete stop before entering the dang roundabout!!!

![]() Remember as kids they were unheard of, signal light on the on-ramp. Slowly over the years, they started with one her end there and not its the norm at many places. This is recent, no turn on red. Traffic is fooked up and backed up for miles while we have been making rights on red at the same location for the past 30 years and no accidents. But, but, but, can we think of the children and the pedestrians? You still flying those big planes or are you retired? I still have the red 930 but have been adding to my collection slowly. You? |

Oh yeah, we can top you on that. We have roundabouts with stop signs. Just less then 10 years ago, it was just a 4 say stop and traffic flowed through semi residential area now, traffic is backed up for three blocks because of that stupid roundabout. Why?

Out here, it seem like 80% of the people are on their phone while driving. I see them daily on my way to my kid's school. Laughing by themselves looking down at all times instead of the road.

Hey are drivers stopping signs where you are? Out here, its a suggestion. Seems that more then 50% of the people on the road run them like if they do not exist. I am not talking about what we call California stop. This is rolling it slowly. Nope, they roll right through at speed. Dare I go and expect them to stop, you get the finger, honk and maybe road rage because I expect them to follow the law. Same ad yield signs. That means they have the right of way not the other way around.

![]() Welcome to my Yesterday. I was in the silver RAV4. loved that car and bought it brand new. Sorta rare V6 and AWD with almost 300 hp made it a real fun car to drive.

About 30 years ago, there was a guy who was running an insurance scam on the North side of Houston, cutting in front of people and slamming on his brakes. Did this to my wife and she was injured. DPS officer told my father in law how many rear enders the guy had been in over the last year. Shortly after this, coincidentally, the guy's house burned down

We have one that I used to drive through twice a day. On 2 occasions, maybe 3, I had folks coming around the circle going the wrong direction. They had to make a crazy turn to get to that point. ![]() I feel like I've recently seen one here in the Houston area with stop signs. I don't get it, isn't the whole point of a roundabout the ability to get rid of stop signs?

Bummer, but the key is that you're alive (and, hopefully, unscathed).

Glad you are okay Rusty, sounds like that was a fun car for sure.
As far as the roundabouts in my area, they have yield signs and even says YIELD in big letters painted on the pavement and people still stop. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk

sorry to see that Rusty
Driving my kid to school this morning, I had the right of way and the driver who had a yield sign decided I was in his way and he tailed gated, blaring horn, along with flashing high beam finally around me into the right hand left turn lane pocket yelling and screaming at me. He then proceed to jam his car in front to get back in as we stopped at a light. I smiled and just inched up and pissed him off even more while he had his tiny little boy in the car asking me to go ahead to hit him. What an idiot. I am glad he got that off his chest proofing to all that he was right. |

Born to Lose, Live to Win

years ago i had a client who was severely inured at an intersection. i now live next to that intersection which has been turned into a roundabout because of all the accidents. just last week i was in the roundabout and someone came about 50 mph and never saw his yield sign and missed me broadside by a few feet. yesterday i was in the roundabout with wife driving and she comes to a dead stop because she doesn’t trust that the oncoming cars see the yield sign….cant say i blame her after my own experiences.
