My garden is a bit behind yours. Been picking lettuce and just last week picked the garlic scapes. The garlic has a couple of weeks to go yet. Peppers are starting to show progress. Cardoons that came up from last year are nice, the ones I planted this year are still small. Patience. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1718374243.JPG

Looks great guys!
I wish I had the properties that you do.

You only need a small patch of dirt

flatbutt 06-15-2024 01:48 PM

My berries are doing well as are the green beans but that's all I'm doing this year. The last two years were awful for tomatoes so this year I'm not trying.

Tobra 06-15-2024 05:12 PM

Maybe if you do upside down tomatoes you can put them in a better spot. Good way to do it for apartments

We have a small garden. We’re growing tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, and basil. My job is to water the garden every day.

Here is the garden

Your garden is looking great despite the tough weather! I’ve been busy with my own garden too. I recently planted tomatoes, cucumbers, and a few herbs. The weather has been unpredictable here as well, but I managed to get some work done between the rain. I’m also excited to add some new furniture to my garden to make it more inviting. You can check here the options I’m considering and maybe give me some advice! I hope the weather stays good so I can get my tomatoes and other plants outside soon.

GD Deer ate all our tomaters!

Heirloom, antiques or whatever from seeds. They’re normally black with beigeish vertical stripes.

The deer love em!

M-Effers, every damn one of ‘em. The deer not the tomaters.

Me too-I have a deer fence, its zip tied top middle and bottom for access-somehow left the middle off at some point in June and the mf'rs got in, stripped 20 plants, and even ate a large cutting flower garden. Just took the fence down and gave up for this year. Blast.

Pic taken July 31st. The tomatoes and peppers are doing well. We’ve been using the lettuce for burgers and salad.

What make and model are your tomatoes Brian? This tomato season I'm just doing Sweet 100 cherry tomatoes. I must have eaten 8 tomatoes every day. Never too many LOL

The garden my wife would have if we had the right yard.

I think they’re beef eater tomatoes. We grew cherry tomatoes last year, we got way more than we wanted.

Yeah, one of mine was a beef eater. Very nice. The thing I like about cherry tomatoes is it's like getting stuck into a bag of sweets but you don't feel guilty because it's healthy.

Same here, I used to take a container full of cherry tomatoes for lunch and a snack when doing DE track days.

Raspberry bush has become a full fledged bramble. I'm told the shoots take two years to make berries?
