If you like ultra-slapstick, very-B movies, then..."Hundreds of Beavers"

I saw this at the Music Box in Chicago last week and words nearly fail me. An hour and 48 minutes of slapstick, and it is absolutely bonkers. Also, I have never laughed more in a movie. Unless you're near southwest Michigan next Saturday, you'll have to watch this via streaming. But whenever possible this is a movie that really should be watched in a theater on a huge screen, with hundreds of enthusiasts. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/03/05/movies/hundreds-of-beavers-screening.html https://www.hundredsofbeavers.com/

Based on this thread and the reviews I bought it for tv. Was pretty alright. Ran a little long. Since I bought it, I Watched it again a second time about 1/2way through and caught a lot more the second time through. This was also after a glass or two of wine last night, which helped. There were so many gags, many just went over my head the first time. Funniest part of the movie (for me) was my daughter coming home midway through the movie. She asked what was going on. There was some guy dressed as a dead racoon with people dressed as beavers being chased by people dressed as wolves, and some bird came and pecked the dead racoon guy for whistling about when the ghost of the master trapper appears, and some stink flies were following some beaver poop, and I realized.. I have no earthly idea how to even begin to explain this movie to her! I will probably watch the second half again tonight just to see, but I'd probably just rent it once. I really do appreciate the creativity. I would much prefer watching this over another big budget comic book superhero movie. Oh ...and yeah, the store owner's daughter is SUPER HOT!!!!!

I'm not sure if this is a suggestion that, if it's a great one, one is enough? _
