The Fall Guy

The Fall Guy with Emily Blunt and Ryan Gosling feels a lot like one of the best decades in modern times, the 80s. It even has unicorns. Lee Majors would be proud, and you know he is by the end of the movie.

The perfect antidote for today's Us vs Them bull**** that pervades our culture today. It's a very fun, nice romantic comedy with a lot of action, great stunts, Gosling and Blunt are witty and charismatic and you can lose yourself thinking about simpler times for 2 hours.

A great movie, no. Must see in theaters, sort of in that it's a great date night movie. You will be happier leaving than when you came in.

Is that GMC pickup the one from the original series with Lee Majors?

No, gf was working late and I didn't think she would like it. We're going on Saturday, I think she will like it a lot. She did note after seeing the preview that she could watch Ryan Gosling for 2 hours.

I doubt it's the exact same one, possible though.

not that it's very exciting, but there's a red G body 911 in the first few minutes.

Also, I am not sure why they did it but the opening credits at the beginning of the movie has clever phrases next to the job and person's name but it vanishes instantly. I hope someone compiles them as a series of YT stills to see what the are. They disappear in half a second. or quarter of one.

I think that's a bit like asking "Is that the original General Lee from the Dukes of Hazard?"

If I'm remembering correctly, they had several trucks for the show, including jump trucks that were mid-engined for better weight balance. There was a clone at Barrett Jackson a couple years ago that sold for $99,000.

The previews remind me a little bit of "Lost City" with Sandra Bullock, Channing Tatum, Brad Pitt, and Daniel Radcliffe, but I suspect this one is much better.

Gosling is on a roll! First Lala Land, then Barbie and now The Fall Guy.

The trailers I've seen do nothing to interest me. Still, once it's available to stream I'll probably watch it ... and have my initial instincts on it confirmed.

She was a draw for me, always is. Coming out soon. I hope her husband has kept the magic going in this franchise. I was shocked 2 was as good as 1.
