I like the shape of the new Ferrari
|
Has a little bit of the GM Cheetah from the 60's look to it . Not bad . Name is horrible

The shape is OK. I don't like that color and the wheels are terrible; they look like something drawn up for the ricer street racer crowd. It would fit in the next iteration of Fast and Furious.
|
I like it. The wheels look like they came off an Audi, but no big deal. The nose is reminiscent of some of the Daytonas.

Chil-in dre' sorta rolls off the tongue. If you don't have to look at the spelling that's not so bad. The walk around certainly makes the car deserve more affection, even the wheels which are not going to be everyone's favorite. I don't care for the rake and its exaggeration with the use of the carbon fiber skirts. The engine looks fantastic out of the car.
Why does everyone who reviews a car refer to the storage in terms of golf bags? |
I hope mine gets built in time for me to arrive in style at the next Monaco Gran Prix.
|
Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned but I like the 246 the most.

Best part is always the prancing horse!
Baz with the #12 Risi Competizione 333 SP at the 2000 Paul Revere 250 at Daytona. Finished in 3rd place on the lead lap hot on the heels of #1! http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1714877058.jpg |
Well, at least it's not 12 Batterias
|
Front end looks very new Corvette-ish. But then, I think the new Corvettes look very Ferrari-ish
Back end looks very Mazda-ish - MX5 or similar though only with profile shot. A rear shot may make it more Ferrari-ish but the youtube thumb isn't making it seem that way to me. Oh well, not that I could ever afford one or would likely buy one if I could afford it... |
While I tend to be a bit biased in favor of 1980's Ferraris, especially after having had the pleasure of a drive in a "limited edition" 512 TR awhile back...I actually like the relatively understated form of the 456, which for some reason seems to get almost no attention. Why is this?

Front is perfect. Top back is perfect. I'm surprised they didn't add 2-4 inches to the wheelbase to create a better more organic/elegant rear quarter flare vs. the Cybertruck one they went with. The diagonal at the base of the door pillar doesn't work, especially with the hump flare on top which is way too high.

I like the subtle retro touch on this new Ferrari.
Jaguar and Aston Martin now have some worthy front engine company. I wonder if anyone at Ford regrets not green lighting the Ford Shelby GR-1 concept car. |
I'm too tall to fully enjoy either, but the sound of a 206 would one up the 246.

I love the interior design. However, build quality isn't there. They need a lot of attention in regular replacement of expensive suspension parts. Interior doesn't take well to sunlight. Sitting in both the 456 won me over compared to the 550 and 575. Far better interior design, and I touch the roof in the larger 550 and 575. Bigger look on the outside, smaller fit on the inside. A 456 M GT and a Porsche 928 GTS...that'd be a nice set to have in the garage. Quote:
I'll wait till I see one. They do seem to be speaking "daytona" on that front. Not sure if the rest of the car fits it. |
Well the Daytona homage on the front end is kinda nifty but I think I much prefer the more angular shaped F cars.

The wheels are horrible, but hopefully there will be options for the wheels. I've liked the aesthetics of some of the modern Ferraris, but most will not age as well as some of the old ones, especially from the 50s, 60s and maybe some of the 70s. I wasn't a huge fan of most of the 80s ferraris. Yes, the 308 is a nice shape/proportion. Although it seems they weren't great performers based on what I've heard here on the board. |

I'll be this car grows on people. I wouldn't kick it out of the garage. |
