Tundra Sandwich!!
Leaving the Kroger parking lot I was the second car in line at the stop sign. The car in front of me moves forward about 4 feet and slams on the brakes. I was already moving, moved about a foot and stopped. Then WHAM, a guy behind me hits my truck, then the guy in front of me backs up into my front bumper.
The guy in the car behind me was, as we say, "Not from around here," and pulled out his wallet right away. Before I could say anything he offered to give me $100 to let it go. I looked at my truck and there was just a black smudge on the bumper, right next to where I had dented it backing into a rock a couple of years ago. He was really pushy, "Can I give you $150?" I said OK and pocketed the bills. In the mean time the guy who backed into me fled the scene. There was no damage to my front bumper. If the guy had been less pushy I would have told him. "No harm, no foul," but for some reason he was really nervous about getting anyone else involved. ![]()

He probably didn't have insurance and/or a driver's license.

Did the guy in front of you check to see if there was any damage?

I would not have taken money from the guy. Accepting money could have you complicit in whatever the chap was up to. If the two guys were working together (and that's entirely possible), perhaps there's more to come via your license plate #. That the guy in front backed into you and then left is very suspect. Probably not worth $150.
