Fun Engineering exercise

Video title says it all. What if F-1 engines had no rules?

Evidently one of the computer games "built" a virtual F1 car and no restrictions. With ABS, active suspension and aero, traction control and every modern bell and whistle. They determined no human could drive it with the extreme G-forces and the reaction times needed to turn the steering wheel.

engineering that doesnt include financial issues, is not engineering.

anything is possible, just need enough money.

racing without rules is just a money race. might as well just compare bank accounts and not even bother with the race itself.

Ever heard of NASA? They were tasked with putting a man on the moon... no cost restrictions.

Plenty of engineering took place.

Yea, when Kennedy set the goal, all we had done was launch Shepard into a sub orbital flight.

The top engineers from all over the free world came to work at NASA and help invent the new manufacturing techniques to make new inventions. Canada had a real brain drain with all the top engineers going to NASA.
