Sorry you are feeling bad. When I had the flu back in December, I found that Mucinex helped and allowed my cough to be productive to get the junk out. Hope you feel better soon.

I just got out of bed, 11:15 with a sore body. Nyquil knocked my azz out still, a bit of twisting and turning all night. Walked around a little, the soreness started to go away. No more throwing up. That was hell. I am going to take a slow walk around the canyon to loosen up a bit. I feel better with much needed sleep.
What the heck, flu in the beginning of summer? |

The advice to see a doctor was not a bad idea but your description of symptoms was identical to my bad flu recently, right down to the food poisoning impersonation. Luckily, that part was short lived. Feel better soon.

Gatorade or pedialyte until you can keep stuff down. Stay hydrated.

Something I learned last year is upset signals from the bowels can bring on coughing fits. The same segments of the nervous system that tear gas connects to can get triggered. If you weren't coughing "stuff" but just had irresistible coughing urges the bowels having an upset can do that.
Any other allergen, from detergent perfume, to whatever, adds to the signal. Quote:

I think I've finally shook the last of mine off. I'm down to about 4 extra strength Tylenol a day. Sleeping is great for about 4 hours....then it's not possible any more.

Feel better soon, sir! That SUCKS!
I just watched an old episode of Grey's Anatomy last night. The flu was going around, and this couple came into the hospital thinking they had the flu. Turned out they had come into contact with the plague. Hopefully, you don't have the plague!
