Le Mans 2024 -where ?

Looks like a blockbuster year with lots of cool hypercars..

Does anyone know where to watch ? I understand motor trend TV+ is now gone and part of discovery +. I have that but it looks like "shows" of motor trend TV were added - maybe not the whole thing.. Does anyone know for sure if they will carry the 2024 race or if we must get the pay per view app straight from Le mans ?
thx !

From what I have learned so far, it's on Motor Trend, which can be accessed from Discovery plus, Fubo (at ridiculous cost) and MAX.

I say MAX, but I was unable to get a subscription going after half an hour of trying last night, so screw them.

I find no coverage of what the programming schedule will be, after another half hour of digging. My GUESS is that it will be the same as last year. I was hoping for all the scrutineering and practice coverage but I'd be surprised if we get it. It's available in Europe but the USA is still the red-headed stepchild of the world so we can't have the good stuff.

I ended up with a subscription to Discovery+, for what that's worth. I'd love to have it all but I'm not an IT guy and probably don't have the equipment to get the broadcast from over there.

Anybody with better info, I'm all eyes and ears.

The Le mans 24 app will give you all of the above (practive quali etc) but I think it's like $25 - not that I mind that much but I'll try max and disco+ first see what they got ! Thx!

I’m going to be watching it this year on a Roku TV and I don’t think I can access those kind of apps from the TV.

I suppose I could mirror it from my phone but that’s too much of a hassle…

Hulu has Motor Trend . That's how I will be watching .

I checked in tonight to see if there is any coverage of practice, qualifying, a pre-race preview, SOMETHING….and I am finding nothing.

Am I doing it wrong or are they literally not gonna show anything before the race starts tomorrow?

Everything - literally even the teams taking garbage out - on Max. Cheap sub for a month .
4 practices and hyperpole so far. Warm up tomorrow and then the race

Anyone in Canada know how to watch? I saw CTV somewhere but having no luck.

That’s weird. First subscribed to discovery plus and they didn’t have Jack squat.

I managed to get a subscription to Max going, after trying it on another computer, and the only thing I’m showing for 2024 is a program called “Road to LeMans.”

I checked the coverage under both Lemans and FIA WEC.

A number of teams will have in-car livestreams including
Cadillac, Toyota, BMW, Alpine, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Peugeot in the top class.

GT3 has BMW, Proton Mustangs, and Iron Dames Lamborghini.

It’s on motor trend on cable r/n

Brian 162 06-15-2024 06:25 PM

In Canada, it’s on Velocity Channel. In the States Motor Trend tv

I tried Motortrend and when opening it, it said the race was on Discovery. I couldn’t get Discovery to work, so I went to Max and was able to watch. I’ll cancel the subscription after the race.

Perhaps they will eventually circulate without safety cars.

Looks they are expecting the rain to get worse again shortly... drivers are cramping up... I didn't realize they were doing rain "holds".

Yes... somewhat. Most are running wipers, #4 Penske isn't...appears they just squirted more of a cleaner, wonder if they are running rainx.

The sound coming from the Manthey #92 car is certainly impressive..

Good race.

Eurosport’s broadcast leaves a lot to be desired.

Didn’t get to watch all of it, thanks to MAX and Discovery+.

Deschodt 06-17-2024 07:43 AM

MAX coverage was great and I believe the 24 hours are in 4x replays for those who missed it. Their coverage of WEC was good too, so nice to see Imola earlier. Missed that track. I'll stay sub'ed, they had a $2.99/mo offer I took earlier and no regrets !
Now that fox got Indy, next year I will be able to drop Peacock..
