Rim size
I have: 2002 boxster S
7.5x18 50 offset 9x18 52 offset I want to replace with 2006-2008 Cayman S: 8x18 57 9x18 43 Would those work? I’m guessing not because of offset. Thanks. |
here's a wheel offset visualizer. There are others that may be helpful in at least seeing what the difference offsets do.
Offset Visualizer/Converter here's another. great name. https://www.willtheyfit.com/ |
It seems like they will fit but it really just says how much closer to strut and distance further in or out. I don’t know if closer to strut is problem or further out would create issue of rubbing. We are talking a 1/2” or less on the analysis.

Thanks Shaun, your alright no matter what the others write. 😀 Joke

there are great fitment guides on apex wheels site for all porsches, if the new wheels are similar in offset to any of their wheels they will have some guidance.
|
I took masraum’s advice. A few guys have done it with zero problems so I ordered away. Thanks everyone for the help.

I used the Offset Visualizer/Converter Posted above when I got wider wheels and tires for the 330 and my F150.
To be on the safe side, I ordered one wheel to verify the fit before I ordered all four for the 330 and F150. |
What is a "rim?" Perhaps that is one of the three parts to a three-piece wheel? But then....rims would not have offset.
Hmmmm..... WHEEL! Also, get off my lawn. |
Jim I think rim is a New England term for wheel. What you say is a rim I call a barrel. 😃
