Beans and frank - one bean bigger - underwear advice.

One testicle bigger than the other in last year or so. Ultrasound, tests, etc and the condition is benign but needs to be dealt with. It's called hydrocele. Fluid leaks into a sack around the bean. It's not stupid big but small slightly oblong peach. (sorry - TMI)

All of this assessment to hear the nurse practitioner tell me to wear tighter underwear to get it back down to normal size. My brother the Dr said sports underwear.

Any suggestions? I have underwear but all are loose, including briefs. A decent brand and type that would hold them tighter. Biker shorts maybe to wear under jeans or shorts?

Thank you.

What about bringing the smaller bean up to spec?

Just kidding. How about Mack Weldon? I'm super happy with mine.

I wear compression shorts a few times a week, especially on long drives with my sore hip.

UnderArmor, New Balance all have what you are looking for.

All other days I wear Bamboo Cool underwear...I highly recommend.

Lycra spandex, and go a couple of sizes smaller than what you think you should be buying. L/S stretches like crazy...

I'd day keep your present underwear and use a jock strap. That may not always be comfortable and if not, I don't have any suggestions beyond what has been said and probably will be.

I have noticed that certain non posture friendly seating positions need to be altered as this underwear can bunch up. No problem with briefs. I never wore boxers because of physical work pretty much 7 days a week. Just didn't like the boys hanging and knocking around while bending, stooping, on my knees, etc. I like to know where they are before I catch one in a bad place.

Thanks to this forum (or maybe another) I have being wearing boxer briefs for a few years. I wanted to mention that they are at their best for only a dozen washings, then they are just good. Couple months later and, although they are plenty good enough to wear, they aren't anything like new. I have been buying Hanes; perhaps there is something better.

Lastly, how about heat and swelling? If that's the case, then having things tight is not the answer.

Sorry Bob. Is it painful?
I don't have any advice for you.

But I have a general PSA for everyone - rotate your underwear! (In the drawer.)
My wife is crazy about keeping the washing machine busy, so my clothes only sit in the hamper a day or two. When dressing I always just grab the first pair of boxer briefs in the drawer. It seemed like they were wearing out way too fast. I finally figured out I was wearing the same 3 or 4 pairs over and over again. Now I pick from the bottom of the pile.

In the early/mid seventies, I wore boxer shorts and did a lot of hiking/walking each day during suimmers. I developed real discomfort down there one year. It turned out to be something calleed epididimitus (sp. ?). One doctor wanted to perform snipping surgery immediately, which scared the hell our of me. So I went to another. He told me it was a result of the boxer shorts and my pants rubbing back and forth while walking and irritating the bottom of my sack area. He plrescribed hot sitz baths to reduce inflamation by increasing blood supply to the area. So I did that for a cuuple of weeks, and the condition went away. I changed to tighter undies after that and had no problems afterward. You might try soaking them in hot water daily for a while to see if the problem improves.

No inflammation issues currently.

I can't say what being in outside heat would do wearing confining under gear. It does not sound attractive. The jock strap may be the best to use in that situation.

There is a Dick's sporting goods store close. I'll head down there in a bit.

I want to at least hold it up to gauge size vs buying online.

WD - No pain at all. Just fluid. However the subject bean can get skrunched a bit and minor discomfort will occur.

LOL! I'm not sure which is better, that it's "Dick's" or if it were "Frank's".

Bob, glad it seems like an essentially non-issue, no pain, no impending amputation, etc....

This thread reminds me of some recent thread where someone (speeder maybe) griped because we had too many "old man" threads that weren't fun. I think that's part of the greatness of the board, but at the same time, this thread is pretty comical from a certain perspective (certainly since it's not more serious an issue for you).

...could be worse. Don't look up "elephantiatis scrotum" pics!

I apologize in advance.

Vicki made me do this. It's not that she's not sympathetic, but ... I can't explain it.

I'm betting an extra dog would just get in the way, and you'd HAVE to find a total freak, because the novelty would wear off on most wominz VERY quickly.
