Located in Fairhope. AL.....sitting at $20K w/17.5 hours left. One of the seller's comments: The car was owned by doctor in Mobile, AL. He said it had been sitting for a few years – interpretation, ten years. I agreed to rebuild the fuel system, but then the whole car showed up at my shop. The doctor had terminal illness and wanted it restored so his wife wouldn’t have to deal with it when he passed. He died while car was being repaired. His widow had no interest and wanted to get rid of it. The easiest way out for everyone was for me to buy the car, repair it, and sell it. I have 3 personal Ferraris including my own 308GTS. 1980 Ferrari 308 GTSi |

 Baz.
You would look so cool in that Ferrari. Selling half of your motorcycles would be all that it would take to get yourself behind the wheel! |

Like every boomer commenting on BaT, I had the same car in a better color with the wood appliqué and 4-speed in college for a time. It came from my then GF's family, I do not remember having any problems with it, ever. |

Those EZ boy chairs in that Pinto are a hoot. I had a Vega wagon as a quasi first car. Lost it to my father when the parentals split up. He got that while my mother got the 'better' cars. That Pinto went for way more than it seems to be worth, going to your point about billionaires and cars. Once those guys get into a certain marque, the prices for mere mortals becomes unattainable. Early classic Range Rovers are now going for $40k or more. Crazy money. My P38 Range Rover is the next up in line. Right now they are around $10k but I paid less than a third 5 years ago. Love driving it and hope to keep a long time. No way would I give $20k or more for one in the future unless it was owned by George Michael which went for 35k GBP: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1760989207.jpg |

Did you hear that George Michael was planning on opening up a chain of dry cleaners?
Yeah, the slogan was going the be, "Drop you pants and jacket off here." I'll be here all week, folks. :) |
