LOL!

I suspect the email included a link. I hope you didn't click it.

stevej37 07-03-2024 01:11 PM

^^^ no..I didn't click on it.
The senders address was phdkennethbrown436@gmail.com

He must be the Prez of McAfee....I trust he will take care of the details. :)

Gad, I get 2-3 of those a day! I don't respond, truly, this is pure spam. I try to block them, but their email address changes each time....grrrrrr!!!

I have Xfinity for my internet provider and their 'Defender' anti-virus protection seems to work fine.

There is no way that I would pay McAfee $454/year to attach their program to my computer.

GH85Carrera 07-03-2024 03:14 PM

Yea, I get that crap as well. I just mark it as spam and never open it. I have not used McAfee in 20 or 30 years.

I get things that are supposed to be from multiple companies claiming an invoice is unpaid. I just mark them as spam, and get on with life.

Yep, and that's why they send those things. If the amount was $20, most people wouldn't pay attention, but when you get those "invoices" that are some random $4xx, $7xx, $6xx amounts, those numbers are big enough that a lot of folks probably panic and click before they think.

^^^ Yes....my next door 90 year old neighbor gets 'worked up' from messages like this.
When I talk to her, she always mentions some scam that is trying to take her money.

It keeps her on her toes....so it might be a good thing. :)

My McAfee gets cancelled at least once a week for non payment. Seems my credit card blocked the payment.

That sounds like a good deal Steve. “Total Protection” - like a full body condom?

stevej37 07-05-2024 02:11 AM

If I get any more notices from them....I'm calling the 'Beekeeper' :D

(watched it yesterday)
