My to-do list. What's yours?
|
Finish clean up from the shed build project.
Get started on the patio furniture cushion storage chest. Get the last 100 (out of 550) bales of hay made and in the barn. Replace the porch and sunroom windows Track down the source of the leak on the south roof. Work on John Mellencamp's "Hurts So Good " for the next jam session. There's more, but I don't have time right now. Best Les |
Umm, it's rainy here, so my list is short and simple... nap!!! [emoji23]

Well today I got the yard mowed and edged. My wife rousted me out of bed at pretty much dawn to get me to raise one sprinkler head next to the driveway that was likely smushed into the ground by someone not staying on the concrete. I put the system in myself 25 years ago. It was not a major ordeal to dig up the head, add a riser, and put the dirt and grass back in place.
Since I own my own business, I often refer to my wife as the mean boss's wife. He makes me do the yard work and fix things around the house, and wash her car. I get even with my mean jerk of a boss by drinking his beer, driving his 911 and sleeping with his wife. |
Clean patio.
Replace security light on garage. Destroy weeds. Paint water tank. Work on another bench. etc., etc. It's so hot, we'll probably hang inside though and maybe go to lunch at a place at a lake fifteen miles from here. |
Checked off the list:
Deliver granddaughter to other grandmother and pick her up again later. Bail ~400 lbs of water out of the Skunk (an 11 ft sailing / rowing skiff) Turn a new cork plug for the forepeak space. Yeah, I know those weren't of this morning's list, but life happens. It has been raining hard here for a few hours. We need it. The soil was powder. Best Les |
Not enough bandwidth on here to list it all....

Officiated a buddy’s wedding
Bringing eldest kid over to duck the heat wave Build a fence when cooler And some other junk. |
Cell phone was giving me warnings about low memory and the battery was losing it's strength. Had Amazon drop off a 256K SanDisk Ultra memory card and a new stronger replacement battery. $36 for the package.
Took a total of about 10 minutes and it's like new again.:) |
[LIST]
Tear out and replace a wood decked walk way from the front to the back of the house. Figure out why the door on the shed where I store pellet fuel is drooping...badly. Then consider expanding the rear of the shed to accommodate my bicycles. |
The best things in life are rarely on my list...
Today I watched a pod of dolphins splashing about in the river next to my house. The amazing part was how close they were. They were close enough that I could hear them breathing. I didn't take any pics, so I borrowed this one. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1720298178.jpg |

Whoo hoo! I get to check some things off the list!
The cushion chest is assembled, but will not be painted until this fall, as it was forced into service. ( Get those cushions out of the porch!) I slowed down the first verse of "Hurts so good" so it starts like a ballad, then rock the rest of it. Hey! I'm 70, I ain't dead.;) Best Les |
i gotta straighten, or re straighten the frame on my race car.

neither of these ones were my mistake though, which makes me a little extra salty. |
Scraped rust off of the steel winter wheels of our CX-5. Re-painted satin black. Got it done before my 4 o clock nap.
