Am I Racist?
Looks like this might be a pretty interesting movie! I sense quite a bit of sarcasm from the guy - and looks like he exposes some of the woke as well.

looking forward to seeing it, thanks for posting Mark!

Meant to post this in PARF - as I expect comments might lead it that way.
Seahawk - if needed please move this. |
I don't think anyone is safe in this movie.
Should be fun. Thanks. |
Who knew? All you need is a man-bun and you’re in the club.
Looks like good entertainment…that will surely be taken way too seriously. Let’s hope it’s not “cancelled”. |

But as always, PARF is only a post away:D <iframe width="979" height="597" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/6PtdpI-D6mM" title="ANNIE (1982): “Tomorrow” Full Clip | Sony Pictures Kids Zone #WithMe" frameborder="0" allow="accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share" referrerpolicy="strict-origin-when-cross-origin" allowfullscreen></iframe> |
Humans for the most part are racist. I had the bad experience of being 50% of the Haole population at Waipahu, Hawaii in the 8th grade. Evey Friday was kill Haole day, so I get beat on on Fridays. I had a very large Samoan hit me in the forehead out of nowhere. He laid me out like a cartoon. I was flat on my back and wondering what happened for a minute. It happen right in front of the principals office. Not one administrator or teacher came out to see if I was OK. They had to see the crowd of kids taunting and laughing at me laying on the ground.
I was so happy when we move on base to Hickam AFB and we went to Radford high school and it was about 50-50 with Haole's. And the military paid a lot for their kids too go there, so the school had incentive to keep things calm. From there we moved to Montgomery, AL and my high school was 60 or 70 percent black. I never had an issue and had several black school friends. I understand racism on a personal level. |

In the 60’s I worked for an old Greek at a Honda dealership in Chicago. One day a Black customer accused him of being racists, he got all indignant and red in the face, he said ‘are you nuts, I hate everybody equally.
At 17 I thought are you nuts? Now at 75 I tend to agree. Rich |

probably.
turns out that living in this society, you often have to unlearn things you never thought you learned in the first place. sexism and racism both fall into this category. you learned them at such young ages, and so subtly, that until you confront yourself, often uncomfortably, you'll never unlearn them. some have the courage to do this, some are cowards. one thing is for sure, matt walsh is the latter lol. for example, his amazing gottcha "what is a woman" is possibly the dumbest attempt at political commentary of a generation. its quite easy, when shania says "lets go girls" if you go, you are a woman. if you dont go, you arnt a woman. |
I'm genuinely curious how "real" that video clip scene is/was from Full Metal Jacket, from those of you who served and went through Basic Training, and during what decade? 60's - present military curriculum?
Especially In todays baby-glove-care embrace diversity sensitivity training? share some stories for those who experienced it ! Now its time for me to pull out my un-edited Blu-Ray Directors Cut of "Blazing Saddles" the best group hug movie ever made. Heck even since the 70's, TV censors..........they even edit out Farting Noises during the Bean Scene around the Camp Fire..........sigh......someone might be offended by a human function we all do......... |

right? like everyone ive ever seen do the classic "you couldnt make blazing saddles today!" all seem to not get the joke at the core of the movie. you could 100% make blazing saddles today, the movie is making fun of racism. usually these same people also tend to talk about how adam sandler or will farrel movies have too many poop jokes in them. so confusing. hard to keep it all straight. somehow the TV edit of the fart jokes is terrible, and a sign of the death of civilization, but then brand new movies with fart jokes are also somehow the death of civilization. very confusing. |
I recall seeing the movie Silver Streak with Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor. I saw it on it's first run and it was great. Months go by and it's shown at a local $1 theater (yes - this was 40 years ago!) So anyway, when the blackface scene occurs - it is totally cut from the movie. It jumps to where Gene has removed the shoe polish from his face and is wiping behind his ear! If someone had not seen the movie previously they'd have no idea what was going on. I thought that edited scene was totally unnecessary.
