Anybody in Atlantic City
The U.S. Open 9 ball championships going on at Atlantic City right now. Only 64 players left. Harrahs...being streamed by Matchroom. They charge for seating, but you'll have a view of the top pool players on the planet going head to head.
Here's an earlier match, to give you a clue...very tight pockets. 53 minutes...watch for Corey Deuel's draw shot at 4:40 for a talent level appraisal. I know exactly what he did there. But I can't do it...because I'm not Corey Deuel.

Curious, what kind of money do these top shelf guys make per year and over a career?

Top Shelf? In a year? The best in tournament winning this year is Fedor Gorst, formerly Russian, now in the pipeline for legit USA citizenship. Billiards site has him on the leaderboard at $403,000. That's for the calendar year.
This is just tournament winnings, not money matchups. Recently, Fedor and Shane Van Boening had a money matchup in 10 ball over a 3 day period...with $100,000 "in the middle". Each side, often a combo of players and backers money. Shane was the first to 120 games won, with the final score 120-116. So, I'd say around 1/2 million for the tip top..maybe the top 5. Not enough to have Tiger Woods bother to shake a hand. I'm watching Fedor play right now, he's up 8-7 over a Serbian player I never heard of. Wanna watch? I figure it's another 1/2 hour or so...boring unless you're into the game and understand what's going on. The free stream table, no commentary. Gorst lost an early match to a Pinoy player, fighting his way back..a double elimination tournament. (edit) 9-7 now, might be the final rack coming up. Players on break. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oWfJM-hPHmE (edit again) The Serb played well, but Fedor won a safety battle...once he had an opening, it was Saul...Saul Over.
