(I always thought Doug brought as much to the CCR sound as Fogarty did - he had his own signature sound that worked incredibly well with Swamp Rock)

So it sounds like there were 2 separate murders. I heard it thru the grapevine that the male victim was having an affair with the girlfriend. Should make a good Dateline episode.
