The Panorama family collection started with my father in 1964, now stored in organized boxes in our basement. Only missing one issue from 1970. I gave that issue to friend because his dads 911 race car was on the cover. My father turns 99 August 27th and we still talk Porsche. I was happy to show him this year he was named in Panorama for being such a longtime PCA member.

It still bothers him a bit that I gave that issue away. If anyone has the February or March 1970 Panorama featuring the 24 hours of Daytona, I will buy it!! That 911 was driven by Charles Perry and with a full fuel load, got hit in the rear while on the high bank by Mark Donahue (driving the blue Sunoco Ferrari). The Porsche did 6 end over end flips yet Perry got out OK. The Ferrari was able to continue but became the duct tape special as seen in race photos. The Porsche got crushed into a cube and became a table!

No promises as to when I'll get around to poking for it, but drop me a PM with your address and I'll see if I have them

Next time I’m visiting my Dad I will look, good chance I have them. They are yours for free if I can just remember to look when I’m there next!

I heard an interview a few days ago with a USPS letter carrier and she was commenting on how light her bag has become in the last 5-10 years with the death of magazines and printed catalogs.

When will old Panos be scanned and available online for viewing?

On a similar note, I have back issues of UpFixin from when PCA closed it out. I've never opened the box they were shipped in. At that time, you could buy back issues they had in stock (if I remember correctly) along with the index. I'm wondering if there might be some interest out there for them. I don't intend to try to get rid of them at this point, but I'm curious about any interest in them.

They already have them on PCA.ORG. Not all years yet, just 90’s to present, but they are working on digitizing all of them back to issue #1

I had around 8 issues that they were getting rid of just for shipping costs years ago.
Never looked at them and sold them for $50 to a fellow enthusiast a couple of months ago.

Thanks Rod. Good to know. The box I have has a stack of at least 8 inches of issues - maybe more. I don't know since I never opened the box. I always enjoyed reading through them years ago, when I would get the individual issues.

Is there a 12 step program for this?
I have most of Pano (couple holes here and there, but back to volume 1), Christophorus since English volumes (mid 50's), most of Excellence (maybe even 2 sets of the first 20 years), Gmund (pretty sure all there), Road and Track (80-90% of first 40 years), 000 (2 sets one read, the other boxed), Porsche Classic (UK magazine I think is the best), Octane (60-70%, great magazine), Hot VW's (a lot of them), and hundreds of various UK VW and Porsche mags, etc. etc. etc. Books are another story, sigh..... Actually typing this out was horrifying...
