Remote controlled license plate ?
 

I have searched the net for the last hour to no avail.
To be found- flippers, curtains, and various other configurations.
I am hoping to locate a remote-controlled unit that flips it dwn or up and pulls it under.
I found an almost..but it is not remote-controlled

reason-I have radiators up front and in the desert, I want them free-flowing

When I had the 944 Turbo, I called the state patrol and asked if I could trim the top and bottom off the front license plate for better cooling.

They said as long as the numbers stay readable, it's legal.
Trimmed the plate, never had a problem.

OK, I guess thats an answer, and have done that in the past.
But -not the answer I am looking for.
Hoping for a well-made unit being available somewhere.

This doesn't exactly fit your goal, but there was a similar desire for 1st gen miatas. The mount was on the front bumper near the radiator inlet. Some enterprising folks used a free hanging piano hinge to mount the front plate. The theory was that at speed, the airflow would push the plate so it was horizontal and didn't interfere.
