That didn't read as an insult at all. Seems he responded with 1) You certainly can create the exact same situation, and 2) you likely wouldn't have done what that particular kid did as you seem to be rational and polite, and probably don't drink enough to do something stupid like the kid did.

Yep, same, kind of the opposite of an insult to me. Maybe insulting in other posts (I didn't go looking) but certainly not the one that was quoted.
