What would the U.S. be like today if Asians founded our country?
 

Most likely it would have been the Chinese but maybe the Japanese who would have landed on a West Coast Plymouth Rock. With a colony founded, other Asian countries would come in the same way most of Europe did over the next couple of centuries.

How would our country unfold? Would the Europeans invade the East Coast at some point? Would the Chinese enslave Mexicans?

If my aunt was my uncle, she'd have a penis. Other than that, I dunno...

It would be like Hawaii.

We'd be the next Ghengis Khan, but on a larger scale.

Probably a death toll in the billions.

Would we have less Chinese restaurants or more?

Canada woulda' burned down the Báigōng?

Godzilla would be more a land based, corn eating monster, who would graze the plains of Nebraska, going down to decimate Kansas city every couple of years.

The farther North one goes the less distance across the Atlantic.(To a point.)

South East Asia has a long long trek.

Drivers would be even worse

If Chinese had settled America, what would it be like now?

Probably not a democracy, multi-cultural, etc. Asian countries tend not to be.

The Native Americans would have been exterminated even faster.

I’m not sure if Africans would have been imported en masse as slaves. If so, they’d remain so today.

The USA would now include Canada and Mexico.

The Nazis would rule Europe. OTOH, Japan would be a glowing ashpit.

Music would be very different - no Delta Blues to become jazz and rock, everything would be in that weird equal tone scale.

Food would be good but ultimately kind of boring. Oh, mom, jellied pigs feet again?!

The cicada harvest would be a national holiday, celebrated every 7 years

There would be no Rice-a-Roni.

No over weight people unless they start eating lots of Chinese Micky D's. I tried it there few years back and they serve rice. We would have self serving hot tea instead of soda.

Cars & Coffee meetups might be a bit more interesting... ;)

A very good book on how the world turned out like it did is “Guns, Germs, and Steel”. Certainly possible that an Asian country could have colonized North America but they didn’t do a lot of colonizing outside their area.
