I have one just like it. Think it goes to my cut off saw but not 100% sure..

It does look like one of the retaining pins to enable/disable the sliding portion of a miter saw - and/or lock the pivot arm down.

I was going to joke and say "I don't know what it is, but I sure want one"-
Turns out I've got a prehistoric craftsman 113 tablesaw and could actually probably use one. ![]() I need to go look to see if the saw even has the place for this. I think my saw predates the 113 nomenclature. It was certainly made before safety was a concern. I would need the rest of the guard for it to be any good. |

It's one of those objects you find around the shop that Looks Very Important and you would cry if you had to pay 17.49 for a replacement because it was repurposed or pitched into the scrap bin...
