Question Another "What is this thing?" thread.....

Just arrived in today's mail from a friend in Maryland. I'll ask him tomorrow what it is intended for, but in the meantime...your guesses?

Maybe something for electronic testing?

A process of elimination. It's not a Honda VRF part.

Good thinking Peter.

Yes, it has that "tap tap taptaptap tap tap" look about it.

Next time tell yer friend to send his IED trigger/gadget via Fedex instead of the US mail....

Under their radar and more reliable...

Peter might be on to something .... it's a good cover story when yer doorbell rings later too

His answer, finally......

Quote:
One of them 'remote battery terminals. The battery on my Crawler and tractor are buried inside. I tap the + poke lead out the side of the cowl and use one of those small electronic chargers to keep'm topped up. Almost everything else is Ground... so I clip it anywhere close. I hate batteries and inflatable tires, so anything I can do...
So, same concept as what I use for trickle charging my motorcycles?

Not exactly. It's probably designed for a particular vehicle to add a remote (more accessible than the battery) set of terminals that could be used to jump start the vehicle. I've had several vehicles that had a similar (though less clunky looking) pair of terminals somewhere in the engine bay.

Your battery tender lead is just for conveniently and quickly hooking up the tender and can't really be used for much of anything else. I suppose you could power an electric vest or something with it, if the vest didn't pull many amps.

OK thanks.

I was just going by what the guy who made and sent it to me said:
