Are they having fun? Or what? I thought only Mustang drivers screwed up like that?

The first article was wrong. The non GT3 is not a 997, but looks like a 991 to me.

Serious speed to rip that engine out like that, dang.

This would be a good time to do a full service and clutch replacement.

I grew up down the fwy from there. Cut my teeth on those late night runs doing time trail on that hwy at 2am. Stupid siht kids do. I rode my bike up it many times over the years. All the turns from MT Wilson road all the way down to the bottom with the except for one can be done over 65-70 in my old Celica or MR2. With modern cars and their power like GT3 and hopped up 911, that number can be much higher but you have to really know the turns and at times. They have to be going really fast to blow up the cars like that. I tested my 991 Turbo on that couple months back and I took those 45mpn turns at 70s with ease.

Cars and bikes are out of control up there. I don't get involved with them and stay away.

Man, I hate it when that happens. You treat your Porsche engine like it's a member of the family and then it just emancipates itself like that.

All kinds of cars crash, Paul. Mustangs just like to do it leaving shopping center parking lots full of cackling, horse-laughing spectators who are filming them.

Car 1# Engine ejected, NO roll over
Car 2# Left front damage.
I'm thinking rear of Car 1# hit something stationary and collected his buddy's car too?

I think the story is that one car (the one without the engine?) was making a U-turn, and the other car (front end damage?) collected him.

Lots of cars crash. Mustangs enjoy "crowd bowling".

This matches a comment on my works Porsche Slack channel that was posted by a local yesterday...
