How to copy and download reader comments

Most online news sites have reader comments after an article. You can manually copy and paste these into Excel and then run a clean-up script to format the text but it's time consuming and time sensitive.

While each site will have its own infrastructure, is there an application, or one you could have created that will look at pages of comments, essentially simple text, copy them and then format them automatically?
