Advertising on FB car group question

Soliciting input. Our Camaro Club needs a policy for posting ads to our FB group.

We want to allow individuals to advertise parts, but keep out ads for duct cleaning, local garages, and auto parts companies. The line becomes less clear when it comes things like car shows, which members seem to like, and detailing services, which members don't like.

What's your group's policy?

If it’s a (car) it’s ok.
If it’s a show for (car) it’s ok.
If it’s a person selling parts for (car) it’s ok.

There are only two businesses left selling parts so that’s not an issue.

We don’t allow anything else. Especially dope cartoons…

Thanks, I suggested this exactly. All agreed.

To begin with, it's totally unnecessary. Anyone interested has immediately signaled that they're an easy marque. Upselling the victim expensive ad-on services/products of dubious value, such as uv light filtration, and dict deodorizers, should be easy.

What makes it a good scam is it's high profit, exceedingly low cost, difficulty in verifying service rendered, and zero barriers to market entry.

Advertising anything specific to Camaros, would seem OK. All other advertisements would be deleted. Continued violations will result in the violator being banned.

I joined a NC-SC BMW Parts group on FB and it was full of spam and porn. I reported it repeatedly and nothing ever changed. I dropped it soon after
