Porsche thief runs over owner…

Wow. A Canadian woman steals a Porsche Cayenne and runs over the owner, while escaping. Pretty brazen thief…

I don’t know if the embed will work but…

Hopefully this person is quickly apprehended and then serves at least 10 actual years of prison.

Was this after she sat in it.....to "look" at and run the engine....for potential purchase?

And the owner got out?

Amazing he wasn't killed!

Hot executive thing wanted a test drive before buying a car, would be my guess.

Why else would the owner allow that situation to happen other than "GTFOML"?

I don't think she noticed the owner walked behind the car. He's extremely lucky he got around from behind the car to avoid a direct mow down. It looks like he got his foot and maybe his ankle run over, but he was able to stand up afterwards. Probably a lot of adrenaline pumping at that moment. Hopefully they have driver training in prison.

Note to self: Do not casually walk right behind running car. More so if total stranger is at the wheel.

As a potential juror, my only question would be if she intentionally waited until he was behind the car to pull out backwards.
(at speed...suddenly)

And then after all the yelling and thumps:
She somehow stopped short of hitting the vehicle behind. Within inches.
Parked on the street in the blind spot.

That would initially indicate the intent to murder.

He was pushed or dragged a pretty good distance from when he walked behind the car, to the street. He’s lucky to still be around.

Sarah Badshaw, 18, turned herself in last Thursday. I think this happened on 9/5.

Another reason to have cars with manual transmissions. They are theft proof!

Are those even made in manual? Shed never have gotten it out of the driveway. That was not the clutched reverse launch of an amateur.

Im betting she kept getting hung up in that pesky neutral gear.

But… how does her plan work? She boosts the car and it goes on a ship? Or do they drive around in it for a few days doing crimes?

Of all the Cayennes I have ever worked on from inception to 2012 when I retired, I have only seen/driven one manual trans Cayenne. It had hill holder too. An anomaly at best.

I understand stealing cars at night. I do not understand stealing cars on camera during the day.

Stolen car gets put in a container and then sent to port of Montreal. Eventually ends up in the Middle East or Africa. Major problem in the Greater Toronto Area for a few years.
I personally know people who have had their newer PU trucks or high end SUVs boosted more than once. Cops tell you to call your insurance company. Perps, if caught, are out on bail the same day to repeat. Terrible situation here.

It is so f##ked up here now with car thefts. It's a free-for-all. Buddy bought a truck that was re-claimed from stolen and then it got stolen too.
She doesn't have a drivers license so that might explain her erratic backing up skills. Our brilliant government is talking about taking the driver's license away from convicted car thieves. You can't make this s##t up!

Texas has a similar issue.

She was granted bail in Brampton Ontario which is just west of Toronto. As soon as she was released she was re-arrested by Toronto Police for additional auto theft charges in their jurisdiction.
