Anyone dealt with Camping World online ordering ?

My wife and I recently purchased a used 5th wheel camper . The master bedroom mattress had enough DNA on it to be tossed . So after quite a bit of online searches we ordered a new mattress from Camping World . There was no indication on the website if the mattress was in stock . It's not an issue as long as it comes in a reasonable amount of time.

The same day we placed the order we received confirmation email stating the mattress will ship from the vendor . Great . Three days go by and no update so I decide to call CW . Turns out our order was stuck in some software loop trying to pull non existent stock from their stores . CW rep tells me it's a good thing you called .

The rep states she has to electronically cancel the order and then place it with the vendor . This sounds fishy but OK. The call ends with the rep stating the vendor has 7 - 10 days to ship . I notice at the bottom of my confirmation email they advertise you can contact the CEO with comments or concerns . This is where it gets interesting.

I sent an email to him stating I think they have a software glitch . And that I am waiting on the tracking info . I told him what happened and what the rep told me . I get a reply 2 days later . He thanked me for the email and apologized for the mixup. He then states I need to call CW and REQUEST they call the vendor to get a tracking number and have CW provide the tracking number to me !!!! What ???

I replied back that there is no way a modern online retailer works this way and it's unacceptable . I told him if Amazon can ship product to your door in 1-2 days surely CW can at least provide a tracking number . No reply just dead air . Have any of you guys/gals ordered online from CW ? Were you provided a tracking number ? This just seems like a joke to me but it's not funny . I just hope we get the mattress and that there are no issues . This will probably be our last online purchase with CW .

I've had nothing but disastrous experiences with them. No one knows anything but pretend they do to get a sale. And they are ridiculously overpriced.

From past experience, not just myself but everyone else that needs a new mattress, get a memory foam one and cut it to size. Easier, cheaper and you can spend whatever you're comfortable with to get whatever quality you want.

Tomorrow I will call them and see if I can get status and hopefully a tracking number .

I used them just one time and got a super good deal on a Blackstone grill. I had no problem with that item.

Good to hear a positive response . We also got a good deal on a 10 " RV queen memory foam mattress . But only if it arrives and has no damage . Time will tell .

Just got off the phone with CW . The good news is the cancel order and place order with the vendor/manufacturer was a success . Unfortunately as of today a tracking number has not been assigned . I did find out the order will ship from Mississippi.

Not a long road trip from Mississippi to Georgia and the CW rep " thinks " we should receive our mattress by the end of next week . I will follow up with another phone call next Tuesday to see if we are on schedule via a tracking number .

CW rep says they don't share personal info about their customers to their outside vendors . So a automatic email with tracking can't happen . But obviously the vendor will have my name and address to be able to ship . This process is not consumer friendly .

I have gotten a few deals online, lighted outdoor rug things like that. It went fine.

Good to know . I am feeling better about the purchase but will reserve judgement until we actually receive product .

I have not had issues with them, but I ordered ours off Amazon after looking around.

I tend to avoid CW. I'll use ETrailer for some things. They are usually pretty responsive. We had our trailer mattress made by a local mattress company. If yours does not work out, I'd look into that option.

Well how about that , Fed Ex just delivered the mattress . The labels on the outside of the box indicate they shipped a 10 " short queen memory foam mattress . And that's what we ordered . Due to hurricane rains we won't put this in the camper until tomorrow or Saturday . But so far so good .

^^^ Yeah the rain slowed down enough so my wife and I just went to the storage facility to drop off and open the mattress . It is the correct size , no visible damage or DNA 😀 and it poofed to size within minutes . Wife is happy so I am happy .
