I'm at a loss for words

Halloween junk has already been pushed to the back for this. This has to be some sort of cultural indication our country has jumped the shark.

Yes. There should be a rule. Funny thing, it is universal. I was in London over Thanksgiving 5ish years back and there were Black Friday sales everywhere. Huh???

Garage
Two houses in my neighborhood had already decorated for Halloween the first week of September.

I suppose once the stuff from the next upcoming holiday stop selling, they put out the stuff for the next one in line that people buy lots of stuff for?

Same at my Home Depot - a line of electric powered Halloween c*ap that will end up in a land fill. It's been there for at least a month.

That santa reminds me of of a creepy shorter fatter David Letterman for some reason.
This is sickening, but nothing new.
What really caught my attention was the dropped ceiling. Seems like most box stores are exposed truss. Huge # of ceiling panels. Made me wonder if it was an older store or something.

Totally agree. Used to love it. Now it has just become some huge commercialized event based around consumerism.

Store have been pushing the holidays/seasons for the past decade.

Summer items are gone from the stores by the end of June around here.

Lowes had Christmas stuff out 2 weeks ago.

Now... imagine how you would feel as a non-Christian (well, a non-Christian American - fairly sure a majority of the world would look at us, the calendar, and say "wtf dood")

Meh, that's nothing. I was visiting family in East Tennessee several years ago. The local Mexican restaurant was celebrating Cinco de Mayo... in JUNE.

That's pretty funny. If good margaritas, why question?

This building was a WWII arsenal and arms mfg.

My best guess though on the dropped ceiling is saving on heating costs.

I am petty sure Christamas was out lawed in this country at one time.
It is pretty much a pagan holiday disguised as something else.

I go nuts for Halloween and will start decorating this weekend. But this is getting out of hand. What happened to thanks giving?

There is no profit margin in Thanksgiving. So corporate America and private equity don't care.

Just turkeys, stuffing and pies. No money

Not even movie theater anymore.
