Pete Rose theory on HOF entry
 

I know we had a thread on Pete's death , this is about possible entry into HOF . Theory is his lifetime ban from baseball ended when he died . What do you guys think ?

I would be surprised if he makes it in.

I hope they do let him in....but I doubt they will.

Shoeless Joe Jackson was a lot better than Pete Rose, probably did not actually throw any games, and is still not in.

He put baseball in too much jeopardy to be let in, good as he was, he almost ended it for all of us.

If Charlie Hustle is to remain excluded from the HoF then so should be every known steroid user and other all known cheaters from across the decades.

I do like the "lifetime ban" ending upon death theory tho .... brilliant :)

Personally, I think Pete Rose should be in the HOF.

One panel of his display should detail all of the great moments of his career.

The other panel should provide the full detail of his gambling on his own team (and others), how he disgraced himself and the game, and what his actions cost him.

Make it a learning experience for future generations when they tour the HOF.

But I'm not much of a baseball fan, and I'm sure the HOF cares little for my opinion.

Nope. They can't induct him and shouldn't.

He was a bum that should be forgotten. On a trivial note, he was a Porsche owner…I met him decades ago when I worked at a dealer. He had a slant nose 911, so kind of schit taste in cars, as well. :)

This seems perfect to me. I was a baseball nut in the 70s... any HOF without Pete.... just isn't legit ;)

That makes two of us that don't matter :D
