Cinemax show "Banshee"

I've never seen it or heard of it until a clip popped up on YT just a few mins ago.

The description from Wikipedia, wow! Someone's got a great imagination!

Quote:
A man is released from prison after serving 15 years for stealing $15 million in diamonds on behalf of his employer, a Ukrainian mob boss named Rabbit. He and his former lover and accomplice, Rabbit's daughter Anastasia (Ana), had already decided to keep the loot for themselves. Anastasia got away with the diamonds and Rabbit is after the man, thinking he will lead him to his daughter and the diamonds. The man flees to the small fictional Pennsylvanian town of Banshee, where Ana has been living under the alias of Carrie Hopewell, mother of two and wife of the DA. Lucas Hood, the new sheriff, stops at a bar on his way into town and is immediately killed when he intervenes in a dispute between local criminals and the bar owner. The man takes Hood's identity and has to impersonate the sheriff and deal with ex-Amish crime lord Kai Proctor, sort things out with "Carrie", and get his share of the diamonds while evading Rabbit.
The description is so outlandish, that I'm curious. I probably don't have access to anything where I could watch it.

looks a little violent/gory if you're into that (or not).

I watched that series. It is kinda weird. Lots of fist fights, and some are rather gory.

The Burton charter is likely the weirdest. It is certainly a "guy" series and not one most women would want to watch.

I have watched Banshee at least 3 times....I mean the whole series in varying stages. Catching up to watch the next season. The last season they had the cast members on live feed so you could interact with the characters as the show was airing. The cast was a big hit at Comic-con.
I watch some of these things [IE: Deadwood is another] like I listen to a favorite album.
I even binged The Punisher series with my wife while stuck in a blizzard in NYC. Went there for The Ball Drop and some Broadway, catch something on the plane then got snowed in.
Punisher and pizza on the 24 floor overlooking a Time Square blizzard with nothing to.

I watched the pilot and thought it was okay. I didn't go any further, but I wouldn't mind doing so. Looks like it came out in 2013 and ran for 4 seasons.
