amazon return

I am faced with some tasks from my supreme commander and driving to UPS to return some of her amazon siht is one of them. Amazon dictates few UPS drop offs now? I like to drive a few miles further into South Pasadena due to us always being there, and there's parking and normally isn't crowded. All the ones Amazon picked due to our zip code is way too crowded and its in the city of LA which I dislike. Same for some of you guys. Oh, I tried Wholefoods or Kohl's. I hate going into those places.

I think with Kohls you get Kohls Cash when returning an Amazon purchase.

I do my returns at Kohl’s, because it’s dead in there, and only takes a few minutes.

They let us return things a Staples here. Easy!

Dixie 10-15-2024 04:28 AM

You can use any UPS store.

VINMAN 10-15-2024 04:43 AM

I always use Kohls. Never had an issue.

I box the return up, print and tape on a label, and hand it to a UPS driver, I get refund to my checking account as soon as the driver scans it.

Dixie is right. I do it all the time. And you don't need to wait in line. Most UPS stores have self-help stations where you scan the QR code they sent you, put your stuff in a bag, attach the label it prints and you're done.

I use the local UPS Store here. It's only a 10 minute drive away and they are very fast and efficient.

The nearest Kohls is in the next city north (Port Orange) and a much further drive.

It'll be different for everyone, I'm sure.

Pretty slick system they have there for returns....you gotta admit......

Just found out that we can no longer do that. They, Amazon only lhave 5 choices near by. I took it to my trusty UPS store and they turn me down and told me to go to those specify by Amazon. It was very easy, no drama.

Amazon has a major league return-abuse problem. Maybe this is a way for them to slightly discourage returns? We have a store here that sells Amazon returns. It's pretty insane. The first day everything is $6 and then each day it goes down a dollar until the last day - $2 day. The next week, all new stuff. I frequently find things valued at $100+ on $2 day. Another observation: at least half of all returned car parts and tools are used. i.e., somebody puts new brake rotors on and returns the old ones for a full refund. Amazon does not open and/or check their returns. These boxes are all still sealed from the customer. They just throw all the returns into bins and auction them off in bulk. You can box up a brick and send it back, it doesn't matter to them.

No Sheiße! For a while, I've noticed that the various options changed. Sometimes, you return the item to any UPS store without even boxing it up. Sometimes you have to box it up and drop it at the UPS store. Sometimes it's an option to have it picked up (but usually that involves a small charge). I think there are another one or two options (dropping at Whole Foods and maybe something else). We've always used the UPS store option, but I've never seen a restriction.

We've been in this house almost 4 years now. For the first 3-6 months, our Amazon deliveries were via UPS. Then they switched almost exclusively to USPS which was faster and reliable. A couple of weeks ago, they switched back to UPS which added 1-3 days to the ship time. (We're not close enough to anyplace to have any other options). I think once or twice in the time we've lived here some item has come from Amazon delivery (I think it was something big).

I had to return an alternator, and I usually go to UPS. However, Amazon sid UPS would charge, or I can go to Whole Paycheck for free. Interesting as when I do a return at UPS, it takes a while to get my credit. At Whole Foods, I dropped the part off and a couple hours later I get confirmation on the return and my refund is done.

Approximately 2 months ago I ordered truck cap clamps from Amazon for my S10 . The size suggested by the vendor didn't fit . I wasn't too worried about it but did leave a comment stating they didn't fit my Leer cap/S10 combo .

About a month ago an Amazon rep sent me an email asking for the details . I provided the details and they stated they would contact the vendor and discuss with them . Last Wednesday I received an email with return authorization.

I printed the pre payed shipping label , boxed up the clamps and dropped them off to USPS on Thursday . Last night I received an email from Amazon that the clamps were received and a credit would be issued to my CC .

While this particular process took some time keep in mind I never pushed for a return . I was going to eat the cost . It was pushed by the Amazon rep based on my comment about the purchase . I am impressed by their concern .

I just had this happen. Someone returned a sink faucet valve. They sent the old one back in the original packaging. I was sold this one as "new".

LL Bean had to end their lifetime warranty for similar unscrupulous, abusive behavior. Probably from a small minority of customers but enough to ruin it for everyone.

The few times that I've had a snafu and needed an Amazon CSR's help......they always came through with flying colors.....

I just had this with a $2000 telescope. I've been repairing returns for a major retailer, they send the returned item to me, I fix it, they can sell it as open box.

Someone put their old broken scope in the box, AFTER opening the case up and disabling the power switch wiring, so they could return it as "no power".
