Back in the early days of that style of travel trailer there were four major players . They were Airstream , Avion , Silver Streak and Streamline . As we all know Airstream is the only one that survived . Generally speaking most travel trailers are stick built like a house . Airstream and the others I mentioned are/were built like an airplane . Huge difference .

Aluminum interior skins riveted to aluminum stringers with aluminum exterior skins . A much more expensive way to build vs stick built . I know the Avions of the 60's and 70's used spray foam insulation which was cutting edge technology for the time . It was an interesting time for the RV industry . Thanks for the link .
