Tired of holding that gas tank to fill your tractor?
I bought one of these from Amazon for $29
It holds two D cell batteries and pumps gas just as fast as I can pour it. For a few dollars more, you can get one with auto-shut off. I stand right there so I got the one without. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08L5PFST5?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 My JD takes over 3 gals each mowing and the fill spout is small. Holding a 5 gal tank of gas for a few minutes is not fun...plus it makes me have to pee. ![]()

3 gallons each mowing? You need a faster mower!! I mow my lawn twice each time I mow to make the stripes look better. I can mow my lawn four times on a tank before I have to switch to the other tank.
And KC, beer is CRITICAL in guaranteeing a proper fill for both machine and operator.

Thanks..it's a GX335 20 years old. Good eye to spot that it's a 300 series.

Summer mowing is less...but now I'm pulling the Trac-Vac around to pick-up the leaves with the grass and it takes longer. The Trac-Vac has a 5hp Briggs running wide open for the whole lawn.

The "No Spill" gas cans work really well if you've got a surface to rest them on.
Except that after sitting in the heat of our garage for 2 years, the seam on the top of the handle splits (happens on every plastic gas can that we've had except a little, old 2.5Gal that the previous owners left in the garage. That thing is tough.)

That looks like something I can use, Steve. I have to wrestle five gallon containers of diesel up to fill my tractors. I'll give it (or a similar one) a try. I have an eight gallon, grtavity feed tank with a hand operated nozzle on it, but it's a hassle to fill and lift high enough to use.

I have one of those also. I quit using it a few years back because of the trouble with refilling it. This thing fills the tractor fast and if removed slowly...no spills.

the 2 D cell model build quality is about the same as a Toy you used to get in a cereal box. maybe worth $5 at harbor freight.

We use SureCans. I made a bench to set it on for our old Grasshopper. The fender on the new one is conveniently located next to the fuel tank, so no need for the bench. Surecans empty out of the bottom. They are really well-made, and the company stands behind the product with replacement parts. For $75 they should.

I've used the 'fuel transfer pump' three times now. I've got to say that is well worth it.
The fill end has a clip to hold it in place, just flip the switch and it hums away. Three gals takes about 45 seconds. If I lift the tube up when removing it, there are hardly any drips.
