Anyone got a 3-D printer?

I bought a, um, "gun device" at a rummage sale today for a song, cash only, all sales final. I belatedly realized there was a part missing, went back, but they didn't have it in the bin, but I have another set of this "totally legal" item with the missing part intact. So I can send this part to anyone who can make it. It's poly, about 8 cubic inches and very simple. I could probably fab it up myself if I had a block of polymer. Anyone here know how to scan this and stamp it out? BTW, original manufacturer is long out of business.

I just picked up a Creality 8K Halot Resin Printer
PM a couple pics and I'll see what I can do for you.

Wow......subscribed! I don't know anything about 3D printers but can see the potential - especially as it relates to certain motorcycle parts that are NLA.....

KevinP73 did a fantastic job of repro'ing this part. Fits like a glove. The Pelican community is truly amazing.

Any chance of a pic? (I'd certainly understand if you declined)

Will get them uploaded tomorrow. Unfortunately, USPS lost the original part I sent him upon his sending it back to me. But his repros arrived intact.

Or for making extremely light weight 911 parts.

The resin printer looks interesting for really fine detail stuff. How has it worked out for you?

Any issues or oddities?

The biggest challenge I have encountered so far is finding the best orientation of the part on the print bed. Things may look fine in the software environment but may not print well in real life. Some parts take a very long time to print ( that door handle for example is a six and a half hour print) and you can't see a failure untill the print is completed in most cases. Thats a lot of trial and error. Fortunately the actual resin cost is but about $2.00.

My buddy does 3d printing. I shot the F out of the AR he constructed buying all the action online to fill his printed stock. He has 9's and a couple 40's... crazy how a couple different vendors can sell a complete set up.
