Magnus Walker Porsche Garage Tour

https://youtu.be/TsriYNAMBo0?si=C0ES-seduMOOXUSg

I know this is a Porsche forum, but I do not own a Porsche, but I am somewhat a fan.
As I do not know much about Porsche cars, I am finding the model designation numbers to be a little confusing. I can recognize a 911, but what makes a 930 a 930 when it looks like a 911 to me? Is it still considered a 911? 935? 912? They all look like a 911 to me. Lol.
Please go easy on me when answering my questions, because I just don't know. Lol.
Hope y'all enjoy the video, I really like the blue car with the gold wheels, I guess it is a 911 turbo, but I'm not sure anymore, lol.

I got this "Hot Wheels" for the little boy that my daughter babysits. He is like a grandson to us, and I got that HW for him some time time ago.

Part 2 of the garage tour.

Sticking with my question, he shows a car he says is a 964. It looks like a 911 to me, so whats the difference?

Think of the 911 as the model, but the typ numbers - 930, 953, 954, 964, 993... 992.2 - as variants.

In Wikipedia there is a list of Porsche projects in numerical sequence that illustrates how some projects came to be known by their numbers (e.g., project 356 became the 356).

Thanks. I'm learning. I have always liked the 911 ever since seeing an ad for the 911 Turbo in a Road & Track magazine. The car in the ad was silver and had that wide rear and huge spoiler. It was super cool.
I have always been a fan of the 944 as well. The wider flared body lines just look great on that car. Seems that several manufacturers used the wide flared look on some models to make the vehicle look sportier, and it just didn't look right. Porsche got it right on the 944.
