Huge Lithium fire
Did anybody see that huge fire at the lithium recycling plant in Fredricktown, MO ? The plant was reportedly the largest plant of its kind in the western hemisphere. Luckily all employees got out safely.

They at least have a good evacuation plan. Now they need to work on a safety plan for the processing.

Yikes.

Wow !!! Glad all got out safely . Hopefully environmental impact can be contained/minimized .

Why did the fire department spray water on the fire?

Yeah, that's a biggie. We usually just have them on buses around here. Small stuff :(

A company I used to work for lost a site to a drum of LiIon batteries… Some politics involved but the drum was supposedly the culprit that started the ball rolling.

That part of the operation was Fred Flintstonish. The waste compressed gas mgmt operation there was a little more high tech. Interesting stuff. Got involved with the permitting the new site.
