Turned my Porsche art into a website
I have been a Porsche fan my whole life. I was on the "rennlist" when it was still an (email based) list. I bought my first 911 in 2001 in Germany, we used it for a road trip before shipping it back to this side of the pond.
I am also pretty good at sketching, and when I finished rebuilding my last 911 a few years back, which is documented here in a few threads, I wanted to do some t-shirts for myself. Fast forward to now, and I decided I might as well put a website together where I can feature my designs and offer them to all other Porsche nuts. I am also planning on having a regular blog of random car info and topics, and maybe a forum as well. I would like to invite you to take a look and let me know what you guys think. Pls keep in mind this is brand new, and still work in progress, but your feedback would be appreciated. Also, feel free to drop me a line with any special requests. The site is: https://rennform.com/ Thanks in advance, looking forward to hearing from you. zK |
Good looking website . Nice variety of artwork . Well done . I am a former 911/914 air cooled guy but now a water cooled guy . Maybe in the future add some 986/987/996/997 artwork ? Anyways good luck .

Thank you. Adding water cooled cars is in the works.
Anything specific? Quote:

nice..
Shaun a fellow bird here did T's in another life.. loved it when he put the art on the back.. smaller logo on chest.... quality shirt that I still have and wear.. Rika |
I did one after I finished my restomod that had a drawing of the engine on the back of the shirt, and the car was on the front (they were sketches of a 73rRSR)
I can easily do variations and scale the sizes etc. I actually have a sketch of a logo as well, which could go on the front. That could be fun. Quote:

With Christmas coming up I'll be talking to my wife about this website. I like the VW shirt on the home page (but don't see it in the catalog) and the Speedster shirt too.
I swore I would get rid of all my shirts with writing on them, but I like these shirts and the 911 shirt I got from Shaun. |
Whatever you sell, never use the Porsche names or badge.
Looks great. |

My other problem is that I'm (more than) a bit of a cheapskate. My t-shirt purchases are either of the varied-colors, plain-Jane variety that come six to a bag from Walmart or are found hanging on the 90% off clearance rack when the War Department drags me into Kohls. _ |
Hi there,
I have a couple of speedsters that I did, and I also have a VW bug for Class11 that's in the air... Baja inspired when a buddy of mine was ran it... Her are the links: https://rennform.com/product/356-speedster-design-t-shirt/ https://rennform.com/product/vintage-porsche-356-speedster-sketch-t-shirt/ https://rennform.com/product/mens-baja-class-11-beetle-tee/ Note, I have more VW drawings, just haven't had the time to put them up. I tried some of the cheaper brands, but honestly I don't like them. I actually have an XL in blue with the Turbo side view, that I got for myself, but I don't like the way it feels and looks. Not sure what size you need, but I can give you a deal on that one if you're interested... LMK

Thank you. I am aware of the Porsche police regarding their trade mark.
I am not even mentioning Porsche in the description for that reason. I am hoping they are not going after the "numbers" like 911, 356 etc... Quote:

I know you can't " copy " them but renditions could be done with no copy right infringement . Just thinking out loud , you do what you do . |
I'll check those out. Thx for the tips.
I also like some of the newest cars out there... IMO the 992 looks great Quote:

Love, love, love the Speedster art! One way or another I’m going to have one. Don’t like tee shirts with any kind of text on them - art — cool!

is the website down?
I get a warning from AVG about being a "fake e-store" |
It shouldn't be down, and definitely not fake.
Oddly enough Avast is also warning me about it. I will investigate to see why that is. I might need to submit something for white listing it? If anybody has any advice pls LMK. Either way, I uploaded a few water-cooled variety cars. Quote:

I checked with google I have no security problems that show up. I will still research it further. Nonetheless, I can assure you the site is safe.

Thanks Wayne!
Really weird. Here is a screen shot when I look at it. I actually opened an "incognito" window, to make sure I am not signed in. That's just page1 http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1731398006.jpg |
I deactivated a few plugins in WordPress, mind you the one referenced in that thread was never installed, but I it makes sense the culprit is there somewhere....
Could somebody check if it's still an issue? I cannot duplicate the problem. Quote:

Update.
I just chatted with tech support at my hosting site (Siteground) and they scanned my site and confirmed it's free of malware and is safe. I submitted a false positive report to AVG. |
I opened the website this morning with no issues or security warnings .
|
I just got in the office, and here I am also getting the same warning for the fake website. I will get back with my tech support again when I have some time.
THANK YOU FOR CHECKING! Quote:

Still having an issue with AVGhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1731427432.jpg

I got the same with Avast. I also sent them a false alert submission. After having it verified and confirmed that the site is clean, I don't know why it keeps doing it.

I just logged in again , no issues or warnings . I am using an Android tablet if that matters .
|
Thanks for the help guys.
I have been running tests, and they all come in clean. Here is my SSL scan report. At this point I am waiting on responses from Avast and AVG to see what they have to say. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1731430568.png |
Update #2
I have been researching this issue, and it appears that it's a common problem that AVG and Avast flag sites. The procedure to fix it is to submit the false alert to them and they will "eventually" whitelist the site. I am in a way lucky that this site is brand new with no traffic, but still. If this happens it will totally scare everybody away. If you are still reading this, thank you, I APPRECIATE YOU! |
Looks like I am not getting blocked any more.
Can anyone confirm it please? https://rennform.com/ Never mind. Another browser is still blocking the site. |
The site is back on. AVG and Avast (BTW they are the same company) cleared it for me. Here is their email.
Thank you for contacting AVG and reporting a false positive URL detection. I'm happy to help. Along with AVG technicians, we've checked the reported URL. Based on the findings, the detection was removed. The website is now marked as clean in the AVG virus database. This change may take up to 1 hour to take full effect. Please accept my apology for the inconvenience caused. Based on my research, this happens regularly. I can only imagine how much it might cost sites that actually have traffic. At this point, nobody even knows mine exists. BTW, I uploaded a few water-cooled designs if anybody is still following. |
