Which TSP Fund(s) To Invest In?
I’m very early into the TSP and am curious what the brain trust recommends for the most return on investments. A Google search shows the S or C as the best for early career investing.

TSP is a great cleaner when you mix it strong.

I recommend picking one that mirrors the S&P500, or does so as closly as possible.

You lost me at, "never buy an individual security." I've made 3x investment on Tesla over the last 2 years and there are several other that I should have bought. Mutual funds are OK for people who truly do not pay attention to the financial markets but are not right for me.

As long as we're recommending books:
The Bogleheads' Guide to Investing by Taylor Larimore, Mel Lindauer, Michael LeBoeuf published by John Wiley & Sons, inc. Do your homework. Nobody can give you All the advice & strategy you need in a single internet post. I can tell you that I wish Cindy & I had come across the above book earlier in our investing life. In easily understood language, it explains most of the myriad of investing terms, discusses various strategies, and offers ways for you to make your own plan. No, it's not the only investing book we have, but it is on top of the pile. Finally, your age is a big factor in making your decisions when it comes to tolerance of risk... https://www.amazon.com/Bogleheads-Guide-Investing-Mel-Lindauer/dp/1119847672/ref=asc_df_1119847672?tag=bingshoppinga-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=80058309761563&hvnetw=o&hvqmt=e&hvbmt=be&hvdev=c&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=&hvtargid=pla-4583657837665946&psc=1

I contributed to the C-Fund for about 18 years. I stopped about 2 years ago...so about 20 years total in the fund. My account is just over $1.3M today. Mine came out before taxes (traditional), so taxes will be a bit painful at withdrawal.
I realize that $1M does not buy as much these days as it used to...but the rules allow you to contribute more now (if you wish/can) and you can invest for longer than I did. I recommend that you invest as much in your TSP/401K as you can. It may not be much for 20-30 years investment, but it can certainly help supplement any other income/investments or retirement plan you might have.
